Part - I:

            Twelve (12) months face to face teaching- learning.

                    

            This part recognizes mastery of some of the key topics in curriculum development, teaching & learning, assessment & evaluation and instructional materials development. Each module carries 10 credits (total 40 credits). At the end of part I, students will sit for written (100 marks) and viva-voce (100 marks) exams arranged by the University of Dhaka. Formative assessment (assignments, presentations, class attendance, contact learning, SDL, Journal club, in course written test, write up and overall performance) will also carry 100 marks. Total 300 marks. 60% is the pass mark for each(written, Viva & formative assessment) separately.

           

Part- II

            During this part students will undertake one compulsory course (Research Methodology) having 10 credits and two elective courses with 5 credits each (total 20 credits). In addition, each student has to complete a thesis having 40 credits.

            At the end of part II, students will again sit for written (50 marks), comprehensive oral (100 marks), Formative assessment (50 marks), thesis works (200 marks) and thesis defense (100 marks) arranged by the University of Dhaka.

 

Methods of Teaching

            All appropriate methods of teaching e.g. lecture, demonstration, group discussion, presentation, seminar, practical work, field visits, and self- learning with individual project work etc. are used.
